It has come to that time again to get a new computer for my 3D work.
Wanting to use it as my new primary machine at home + to add to my rendering capability.
I ordered it 10 days ago and I have all the parts except for the video card.
Have pulled out a older 8800GTX from an older computer to get it running.
So far so good, nice and zippy to work on
My new computer specs:
I7 950 cpu, 12gig ram, Intel X25M SSD, Nvidia GTX285 (2gig) video card, 1tb 2nd hdd etc...

Was really wanting to see what the SSD would be like to work with and so far I haven't been
disappointing.
Makes a nice addition to my 2 older quad core machines  
(Q9450, 9800GTX, 8gig ram, 4tb hdd etc)
(Q6600, 8800GTX, 8gig ram, 1tb hdd etc)

Well I finally did it, got a new pc over the weekend
Intel Quad core
4gig Ram
8800GTX
Raid HDD's
2 Tera byes of HDD total
etc....

(My old pc was a X2 3800, 2gig ram, 7800GT, etc)
On a test render in Maya, the new machine proved to be
over 300% faster  

Now I have to get rid of the old pc

Currently working, doing quite a few hours on a car racing game
so havent had much time to update my gallery.
I have done some updates on the Wokkiee Catamaran and will
post it soon. Will try to keep things more up to date
